My story “Accident” (which is an excerpt from my novel-in-progress Believers) is in this month’s issue of The Sun.
You can read the first part of the story here.
I’m so honored and thrilled to have a story in The Sun. Still pinching myself. Pinch, pinch.
And tonight I’m headed up to L.A. for the New Short Fiction Series/Annenberg Foundation event featuring my story “My Status.” A good day!
O God, Andy, this excerpt is excellent in its terribleness. Wonderful, energetic language and movement throughout. I read rapt. This is heart-wrenching and I’d love to read more. Can’t wait for Believers to be released so I can buy my copy! I’ll look into subbing to The Sun too. Cheers.
Thanks so much, Ethel. Definitely send something to The Sun. It’s a great magazine with a great staff!
I read your story in The Sun. Does Believers talk about Anabelle and her parent’s journey with Traumatic Brain Injury? I’m a TBI survivor and am very interested in survivor’s stories. (I changed my google account so the email is wrong and I don’t know how to change it. I’ll check back here but if not too much trouble email puffer61@gmail.com
